Privacy Architecture
At Scenarist LLC, we recognize that our clients are professional authors and major studio operators. Our data handling is engineered for industrial security, prioritizing the protection of your intellectual property and licensing credentials over consumer-grade tracking.
We minimize cloud-dependency to ensure that your UHD authoring metadata and project structures remain within your secure mastering environment.
Encryption & Collection
Identity & Licensing Data
To manage Scenarist UHD and Blu-ray authoring licenses, we collect specific identifiers including corporate email addresses, hardware dongle IDs, and workstation MAC addresses. This is strictly for license validation, ensuring that your mastering facility remains compliant with BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association) security standards.
Security Note
Hardware keys facilitate seat-based licensing without persistent internet tracking.
Technical Telemetry
During complex muxing operations or error log generation within Scenarist UHD, the software may record system-level specifications (RAM, CPU architecture, OS version) to assist our technical support team in Novato with troubleshooting.
Mastering Assets & Project Files
Scenarist LLC does not ingest your video assets, audio streams, or CMF/DDP files. Professional authoring remains a local, siloed process. Our technical assistance is strictly limited to metadata analysis and log review—we never request raw content unless explicitly mandated by a specific support ticket and NDA.
"Your intellectual property is the heartbeat of physical media. Our privacy protocol is the vault that protects it."
Third-Party Operations
We do not sell, trade, or lease your personal information to third-party marketers. As an industrial software provider, our external data sharing is limited to essential operational partners—specifically Tier-1 payment processors for subscription billing and BDA compliance auditors during mandatory certification cycles.
Technical Note: Scenarist LLC utilizes high-encryption silos for all licensing databases, ensuring that even in collaborative environments, your studio’s user credentials remain isolated from other license holders.
When you engage with our support team for Ultra HD Blu-ray assistance, diagnostic data may be shared with our development engineers. All such transfers are conducted via encrypted channels and are wiped upon the resolution of the technical ticket.
